Foundational Swim Instruction Program
Not an experienced swimmer? Don’t worry. Our beginner-friendly program starts from basics. Learn to master both swimming strokes and important coaching techniques.
Theory and Practical sessions
We'll learn swimming theories through a fun & engaging classroom experience and then applying them practically in the pool with your peers.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Swim Instructor Course consists of 7 weeks of twice-weekly classes held in the evening. Classes are taught by our practicing senior coaches, and cover both Theory and Practical instruction.
During the Course, you will also complete 52 hours of paid attachment, in which you gain exposure and experience from observing and assisting in experienced coaches in real classes.
Upon successfully completing your attachment and passing both the theory and practical examinations, you will receive your Swim Instructor certification, and be assigned your own classes to coach.
As a coach with us, you will receive continued mentorship and professional development to help constantly improve your coaching. You can expect a performance review every 6 months, with opportunities for promotion and salary increases.
The Course is free for all participants who successfully pass the course and coach with us for 12 months. Classes will be organised for you in one of our many pool locations across Singapore, so don’t worry about sourcing for students!
Participants preferring not to coach with us post-completion can opt to pay the full course fee of $2,485.20 w/GST ($2,280 w/o GST).
A 10% deposit ($228) will be required upon enrolment, and is fully refundable at the end of the bond attachment period.
We welcome all aspiring coaches who enjoy sports, have a heart for education, and want to be part of a team that is fun, supportive and constantly learning!
With step-by-step learning and continual mentorship, the Course is suitable even for applicants with no swim or coaching experience. There will also be weekly swim training sessions conducted by senior coaches for you to work on your swimming skills.

Applicants will be contacted for an interview prior to starting the course.
Please note that all non-Singaporean applicants must possess valid permission to work in Singapore – we are unable to sponsor visas.
*Course fees are waived for all instructors who choose to coach for Sports Schooling for 12 months / 270 coaching hours after course completion. Instructors will be required to coach a minimum of 6 hours per week. All coaching hours are fully paid. A 10% deposit ($228) is required upon enrolment and is fully refundable at the end of the bond period85.
